Conscious Mind, Subconscious, and Body: The Three Levels of Psy5D

Conscious mind, subconscious, and body: the three levels of Psy5D

I’m often asked: “What is the main difference between Psy5D and traditional approaches?”
I answer very simply: we don’t work only with the conscious mind — we work simultaneously with the subconscious and the body. These are the three levels that shape a person’s life.

Many methods focus on just one of these levels. Traditional therapy mostly works with analyzing thoughts and events. Meditation focuses on relaxation and the “here and now” state. Body practices focus on physical sensations. But when you work with only one level, the result is often incomplete.

Psy5D integrates all three. And that’s where its true power lies.

Conscious Mind

The conscious mind is what we are aware of right now: thoughts, decisions, logical explanations.
At this level, a client may realize: “Yes, I keep repeating the same mistakes in relationships,” or “Yes, I feel anxiety at work.”
This awareness is important — but it’s not enough. Because the conscious mind is only the tip of the iceberg.

Subconscious

The subconscious holds all our internal programs, beliefs, and past traumas.
A person may not consciously remember certain events for decades, but the body and subconscious will continue to reproduce the same reactions.

One client once said:
“I don’t understand why every time someone raises their voice at me, I freeze and can’t respond.”

During the session, we traced it back to a childhood moment: when his father would yell, and he felt small and defenseless. This “frozen” state kept repeating through his subconscious. Once we rewrote that experience — his reaction changed.

The Body

The body never lies. It stores every experience and responds with symptoms when there are internal conflicts.
Tightness in the chest, a lump in the throat, trembling — these are not random sensations, but the language of the body.

In Psy5D, we always work with bodily signals. Because when a client changes their response at the body level, the transformation becomes much deeper and more stable.

How does this work in a session?

First, the client describes what they feel (conscious mind).
Then we identify the image, age, or situation where this feeling originated (subconscious).
Next, we process and rewrite the experience through bodily sensations (body).

And that’s when a new response is created: lightness instead of tension, confidence instead of fear, strength instead of helplessness.

Why does it work?

Because all three levels are interconnected. When one changes — a person’s entire life begins to change.
Psy5D leaves no gaps: we don’t just “understand” — we experience and anchor the change in the body.

I strongly believe that real transformation happens only when we work holistically.
The conscious mind, subconscious, and body are three doors that lead to true transformation.

“In Psy5D, we don’t fight the problem — we rewrite the mechanism behind it. And that’s what creates real depth.”
